Scope and technical route
The IECEE CB Scheme enables mutual acceptance of test reports and certificates for the covered electrotechnical products and standards. Select the relevant product category, IEC standard/edition and participating NCB/CBTL scope. This is a technical certification route; it is not automatic legal approval for every country, CE marking or permission to use a national certification mark.
Evidence, work and cost
An approved CBTL produces the applicable CB test evidence; an NCB issues the CB Test Certificate. A completed generic test-report form is not a valid CB report by itself. Keep certificate and report together with model, electrical ratings, critical components and tested configurations. Check the official IECEE record and target-market requirements separately.
Work plan and changes
Provide models, component list, drawings, ratings, instructions, countries and existing reports. Separate technical preparation, sample tests, NCB certification and any additional target-market work. Readiness, failures and model differences affect time and cost. A component CB certificate does not automatically cover the complete equipment; changes require evidence and certificate-scope review.
Responsibility
