ISO 18295 Customer Contact Centre Service Quality
ISO18295 addresses customer contact-centre service requirements. The centre and the organisation commissioning its services have different responsibilities. The applicant implements the system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra concerns actual activities, sites, application information, authority and impartiality risks; this role does not include designing or implementing the client’s system.

Choose the relevant part and service boundary
Part1 applies to in-house and outsourced centres, across inbound/outbound and voice/non-voice channels. Part2 concerns organisations using centres. List campaigns, channels, customer groups, sites and outsourced activities; a voice-service assessment does not automatically cover chat or another campaign.
Make client-centre arrangements operational
Specify the information, instructions, authority and escalation the client supplies and the centre uses. In a hypothetical billing enquiry, an agent may need client approval to amend an account. Record who owns that decision and how waiting customers receive updates. A short handling time does not prove the right outcome.
Prepare the assessment route
Provide service boundaries, staffing, training, knowledge resources, client arrangements and performance definitions. The catalogue publishes parts1and2:2017; new projects are under development, not new published editions. Obtain the offered scheme, relevant part, criteria, report, issuer and any claimed accreditation coverage in writing. Neither a general ISO accreditation nor the centre’s brand proves this scope.
Standard edition and programme limits
ISO 18295-1:2017 addresses the contact centre’s service requirements; ISO 18295-2:2017 addresses the organisation commissioning those services. Internal or outsourced, inbound or outbound, voice and non-voice channels are considered according to scope. A particular commercial certification scheme or a provider’s accreditation is not assumed here and must be confirmed separately.
ISO does not issue certificates. Verify the proposed issuer, standard and activity against any claimed accreditation scope. Consultancy cannot guarantee approval; the competent body evaluates evidence and makes the independent decision. The applicant implements the system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra concerns actual activities, sites, application information, authority and impartiality risks; this role does not include designing or implementing the client’s system. A management-system certification body, other parts of the same legal entity and controlled entities cannot offer or provide management-system consultancy; separate contracts do not remove this restriction.
Official sources and application limits
The operating examples are hypothetical, not customer events or guaranteed decisions. The actual standard and competent body determine requirements.
