ISO 22000 Certificate Food Safety System
ISO 22000 evaluates a food safety management system for a defined food-chain activity. It combines management responsibilities with hazard analysis, prerequisite programmes and controlled operations. System certification is not a safety certificate for every batch, a food business licence or automatic FSSC 22000 certification. The applicant implements its system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra is limited to actual activities and sites, application information, authority and impartiality review; it does not include designing or implementing the client’s management system. The certification body, other parts of the same legal entity and entities under its organisational control cannot offer or provide management-system consultancy; separate contracts do not remove this restriction.

Describe the real food-chain activity and product groups
State whether the organisation produces, processes, stores, transports or provides another relevant food-chain activity. Identify sites, shifts, product groups, intended users, process steps and outsourced work. Verify flow diagrams against actual operation. A chilled storage activity does not automatically include another company’s food manufacture. The applicant implements its system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. Connect hazards with justified controls and evidence
Analyse relevant biological, chemical and physical hazards using the actual product, process and intended use. Establish prerequisite programmes and determine the necessary control measures through the organisation’s hazard analysis. In a hypothetical chilled process, distinguish evidence that a temperature control can achieve its intended purpose from day-to-day monitoring and later verification. A completed log is not validation by itself; control limits are not invented here for an unknown product.
Prepare operational proof and follow the certification route
Keep monitoring, deviations, product disposition, corrective action, traceability and withdrawal or recall arrangements linked to the real scope. A mock recall should show affected batches, contacts and reconciliation rather than just a meeting record. Complete internal audit and management review. Initial assessment includes stage 1 and stage 2, evaluation of findings and a separate impartial certification decision. Application acceptance, training attendance or an audit report does not guarantee certification.
Clarify quotation, authority and ongoing status
Provide legal identity, activities, sites, workforce, shifts, product complexity and current system evidence. Clarify initial audit, surveillance, recertification, travel and follow-up charges; system implementation and testing are separate jobs where needed. Ask the independent certification body to identify the offered programme and actual current accreditation scope for the edition and food-chain activity. ISO 22000:2018 remains published with its 2024 amendment; a revision project is not a new published certificate basis. Check the issued scope and current status, and report material changes.
Official sources and application limits
The operating examples are hypothetical, not customer events or guaranteed decisions. The actual standard and competent body determine requirements.
