ISO 9001 Certificate – Quality Management System
ISO 9001 addresses the quality management system used to meet customer and applicable requirements consistently. Certification evaluates the activities and sites stated on the certificate; it is not approval of every product. The applicant implements its system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra is limited to actual activities and sites, application information, authority and impartiality review; it does not include designing or implementing the client’s management system. The certification body, other parts of the same legal entity and entities under its organisational control cannot offer or provide management-system consultancy; separate contracts do not remove this restriction.

Define the activities before requesting certification
Describe what the legal entity actually designs, makes, supplies or services. Identify sites, outsourced processes and the people who control the work. A trading company that outsources manufacturing must explain its supplier controls rather than claim the factory is part of its own certified scope. Compare the proposed wording with the customer contract; a broad company registration does not establish that all listed activities were assessed.
Build an operational trail, not a purchased document pack
Trace one hypothetical order from agreed specifications to purchasing, work instructions, inspection, delivery and any complaint. Record who approves changed requirements and what happens to nonconforming output. Link process measures and quality objectives to results. If a delivery failure recurs, show the cause, corrective action and whether recurrence fell. These are evidence-planning examples, not invented past transactions or a mandatory identical form for every organisation.
Move from preparation to audit and a separate decision
Assess gaps against the applicable edition, implement the processes, and conduct an internal audit and management review of their effectiveness. Initial certification ordinarily includes stage 1 readiness review and stage 2 assessment of implementation. The certification body evaluates findings and required corrective-action evidence before a decision by competent people separate from the audit. Sending procedures or paying for preparation is not a positive decision.
Application, quotation and the current edition
Share legal identity, activities, sites, workforce, shifts, outsourcing, existing certification and the customer’s requirement. Separate preparation or training charges from independent initial assessment, surveillance, recertification, travel and follow-up. Missing operational records and corrective actions affect calendar time as well as cost. ISO lists ISO 9001:2026 as published; confirm the existing certificate edition, transition plan and the body’s actual accredited scope. New publication does not automatically extend accreditation.
Official sources and application limits
The operating examples are hypothetical, not customer events or guaranteed decisions. The actual standard and competent body determine requirements.
