Türkiye: practical decision and evidence

Patent maintenance needs a calendar linked to filing dates and the applicable annual-fee year. Verify the current official tariff and payment record. Payment to an intermediary does not prove that the office received the correct fee for the correct patent.

Worked file: the portfolio reminder uses a calendar year unrelated to filing dates. Match each patent number to filing and the applicable fee event, reconcile previous payments and verify official receipt. A payment list should show which right and year it maintains, not merely an annual accounting total.

Patent: twenty-year term

The Turkish patent term is twenty years from filing, subject to statutory maintenance requirements. Keep a filing-date and annual-fee calendar. An unpaid or expired right must not be presented as active merely because its document still exists.

Patent grant decision

A patent grant follows the competent office’s examination and required formal steps. Check the grant decision, approved claims, fee status and register entry. A search report, supplier promise or test result is not a patent grant.

Renewal and deadline monitoring

Separate trademark renewal, design renewal and patent annual-fee events in the portfolio calendar. Record the legal owner, right number and jurisdiction for each event. An annual reminder without the actual statutory due date can miss an essential filing.

Official filing and support
