COSMOS NATURAL / ORGANIC: Choose NATURAL or ORGANIC through the actual formula
The marketing word “natural”, natural-origin calculation and COSMOS NATURAL licence are different things. COSMOS ORGANIC has separate programme conditions and a distinct assessment target.
Choose NATURAL or ORGANIC through the actual formula
Two hypothetical creams share a botanical oil but have different organic evidence and composition. Compare the full formula, relevant category and intended label with the current COSMOS route. NATURAL is not an ORGANIC licence. Raw CERTIFIED or APPROVED entries support distinct material checks; neither grants the finished-product signature. Ask the authorised body which product assessment and evidence are required.
Programme conditions and worked assessment
Example: A brand sees a high ISO 16128 calculation and wants to apply the COSMOS signature. Record the calculation basis and formula version, but do not treat a percentage as licensing acceptance. Raw-material processing, formula, manufacturing and labelling are assessed under the selected programme. Verify the authorised body in the owner's actual register. NATURAL assessment does not automatically provide organic-product approval. A consultant spreadsheet or botanical image is not proprietary mark permission; the label claim must match the accepted scope and version.
Organic cosmetics conditions: evidence and product scope
Example: A brand treats a supplier webpage as evidence, but it may not cover the material code or actual manufacturer. Match identity, certificate scope and validity to supply and formula. Show other ingredients and manufacturing conditions too. Clarify the buyer's programme and intended label. Do not count unsupported material as accepted in the calculation. A supply difficulty does not let a consultant waive conditions; any exception follows the actual authorised body's rules. Keep evidence gaps visible rather than resolving them through marketing wording.
Evidence and authority boundary
COSMOS v4.2 applies from 1 September 2025. “Natural” does not guarantee safety or treatment effects, and no unverified Kayra/QRS programme authority is asserted.
