Natural cosmetics: Check what the listing actually covers
The marketing word “natural”, natural-origin calculation and COSMOS NATURAL licence are different things. COSMOS ORGANIC has separate programme conditions and a distinct assessment target.
Check what the listing actually covers
A supplier presents a COSMOS APPROVED entry as proof that your cream is certified. Match material identity and status, then separately check the finished-product decision and licence. APPROVED and CERTIFIED raw materials have different meanings; neither automatically covers a formulation using them. Verify body, product version and label permission rather than inferring from a search result.
Programme conditions and worked assessment
Example: A brand sees a high ISO 16128 calculation and wants to apply the COSMOS signature. Record the calculation basis and formula version, but do not treat a percentage as licensing acceptance. Raw-material processing, formula, manufacturing and labelling are assessed under the selected programme. Verify the authorised body in the owner's actual register. NATURAL assessment does not automatically provide organic-product approval. A consultant spreadsheet or botanical image is not proprietary mark permission; the label claim must match the accepted scope and version.
Evidence and authority boundary
COSMOS v4.2 applies from 1 September 2025. “Natural” does not guarantee safety or treatment effects, and no unverified Kayra/QRS programme authority is asserted.
