Natural cosmetics: Review formula and label changes together
Define the natural claim, target market and intended programme. General natural marketing and a proprietary programme signature require different evidence and permission checks.
Review formula and label changes together
If a natural cream changes carrier or manufacturing site, preserve the old and new formula and report the affected changes through the actual body’s route. Update calculation and label review as needed. An unchanged front label cannot extend an old decision to new materials automatically. Keep surveillance or renewal requirements separate from product modification and current signature permission.
Programme conditions and worked assessment
Example: A range collects botanical oil documents but leaves preservatives and other ingredient processes unknown. Explain the full formula and material identities and verify what the percentage calculation includes. Review manufacture, packaging and claims under the actual programme. One natural raw material does not establish that the finished product meets every condition. Obtain buyer expectations and licensing goals in writing. Keep uncertain processing as supplier-dependent work rather than hiding it under a “natural” heading or promising product approval in advance.
Evidence and authority boundary
The COSMOS owner publishes v4.2 and the labelling guide; verify authorised bodies separately. Natural claims do not replace cosmetic-safety or applicable legal duties.
