Vegan Product Enquiry and Validity
Vegan, absence of animal testing and allergen freedom are different claims. Check the actual trademark programme; the Vegan Society is one named programme example.
Verify the licensed product and version
A licence lists one unperfumed product while the brand markets a new fragranced variant with the same mark. Check accepted products, formulation identity, current licence and label conditions with the owner. An ingredient declaration is not a finished-product licence. Vegan does not establish allergen freedom, product safety, organic status or universal cruelty-free equivalence.
Programme conditions and worked assessment
Example: The team sees “cruelty-free” on packaging and closes the ingredient-origin review. Link origins, by-products and carriers to manufacturer and formula version. Assess relevant animal-testing responsibilities separately and show shared-equipment controls through records. A vegan mark does not establish allergen freedom or medical safety. Do not apply one supplier statement to a whole range without checking which material and version it supports. Product-level evidence matters more than the company's general marketing identity or a familiar phrase printed on the package.
Evidence and authority boundary
The Vegan Society criteria belong to its trademark, not a universal legal definition or QRS programme. Preparation support cannot grant the actual owner's proprietary licence.
