Who Manages the Vegan Product Process?
Vegan, absence of animal testing and allergen freedom are different claims. Check the actual trademark programme; the Vegan Society is one named programme example.
Identify the owner of the chosen mark
Before downloading a vegan logo, identify its proprietor and actual licensing route. The Vegan Society criteria belong to its Vegan Trademark; they are not a universal legal definition or a Kayra/QRS licensing programme. Review product scope and permission with the actual owner. Consultancy, supplier declarations and management-system accreditation do not authorise use of that proprietary mark.
Programme conditions and worked assessment
Example: The team sees “cruelty-free” on packaging and closes the ingredient-origin review. Link origins, by-products and carriers to manufacturer and formula version. Assess relevant animal-testing responsibilities separately and show shared-equipment controls through records. A vegan mark does not establish allergen freedom or medical safety. Do not apply one supplier statement to a whole range without checking which material and version it supports. Product-level evidence matters more than the company's general marketing identity or a familiar phrase printed on the package.
Evidence and authority boundary
The Vegan Society criteria belong to its trademark, not a universal legal definition or QRS programme. Preparation support cannot grant the actual owner's proprietary licence.
