Check cleaning evidence after a press replacement
The current Issue 7 resources include P708 position statements effective from 10 August 2026. Its cleaning clarification connects the approach to risk and intended use, and requires cleaning not to introduce a product-safety risk. Read this with the Standard rather than apply one cleaning method to every packaging process.
Hypothetically, a new press replaces the old machine, but cleaning cards and effectiveness records still describe the old layout. Compare the new equipment and actual residues with the risk review, chosen method and genuine checks. An installation invoice or revised PDF alone does not demonstrate effective cleaning of the new press.
Keep corrections and certification decisions separate
