GLOBALG.A.P. checks now use the Supply Chain Portal. It and CertifierOS replaced the former database on 3 November 2025. Start with the identification number or GGN on the document and save the result with the check date.
Use the current certificate route
Match the legal producer, production unit, product and programme or edition. Finding a GGN does not establish that every product sold by the business has a valid certificate: read the specific certificate and product status.
Compare the actual delivery
Hypothetical example: a supplier offers peppers and tomatoes, while the certificate evidence covers only tomatoes from one production unit. Record both products separately and request the matching pepper scope before treating that delivery as certified.
Compare any handling activities and the production unit with the goods being bought. A familiar company name cannot resolve a product, site or scope mismatch. Keep the discrepancy open until matching evidence is supplied.
Clarify discrepancies with the responsible issuer
Save the certificate details and unresolved question, then ask the producer and its approved certification body to clarify the current record. A missing result can have several causes; it does not by itself establish forgery or justify announcing fraud.
