Choose a body approved for the actual IFA scope
The owner warns that unfiltered listings can also include bodies offering benchmarked schemes without approval for GLOBALG.A.P. standards or add-ons. Ask the proposed body to confirm the applicable IFA edition, products, sites and certification option in its written agreement. General accreditation or an attractive logo is not a substitute for programme-specific approval.
Check approval before submitting the farm file
Hypothetically, a fruit grower sees a body listed for its country but its displayed approval covers aquaculture, not the proposed fruit-and-vegetable scope. The grower should check the exact solution and product category and obtain confirmation before proceeding. Presence in the country results alone cannot establish the required approval.

Follow the body’s assessment and verify the result
The body audits the operation and verifies that non-compliances have been corrected before issuing a certificate. It maintains producer data and uploads the audit report in the programme system. Report access is governed by the producer’s privacy rights; a current public status check is not unrestricted access to the complete report.
