CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE GUIDE

İTU Certificate Verification: Issuer, Product Scope and Current Validity

Start with the complete İTU certificate rather than a logo or a cropped image. Identify its reference, revision, producer or group, production location, certified product, quantity or area, control dates, issue and expiry, and certifier. The Ministry-linked regulation specifies certificate information; use these fields to match the document to the proposed supply.

Read the actual certificate before accepting it

Then check the issuer’s legal identity, authorisation dates and relevant production scope in the Ministry’s current KSK list. That list verifies the authorised body, not every individual certificate. Do not invent a universal public certificate-search result or treat a body’s listing as proof that the particular document is current.

Resolve product and revision differences with the issuer

Request confirmation from the issuing KSK when reference, revision, status or coverage is unclear. A certificate may be authentic yet not cover the product, producer or parcel being offered. Retain the document version and the issuer’s answer with the purchase record; a QR image alone does not resolve a scope discrepancy.

Hypothetically, a supplier offers peppers from a recently leased parcel but submits a genuine tomato İTU certificate for its older plot. Confirm whether the producer, parcel and peppers are covered by a valid issued revision before accepting the claim. The same owner and an unchanged expiry date do not add that crop or area. Record the mismatch rather than change the certificate PDF yourself.

Keep validity separate from food-safety conclusions

The regulation limits certificate validity to at most twelve months from issue; a revision does not extend that validity. Check the actual date and current status with the issuer, including any suspension or withdrawal relevant to the claimed scope. Do not infer that every Ministry-listed body’s older document is usable today.

An İTU certificate is not proof that every supplied batch is free of all hazards and does not replace product, residue or traceability checks required for the transaction. Before requesting activity from Kayra, establish its actual permitted role and authorisation. Kayra’s answer or a commercial quotation cannot substitute for the issuer’s certificate-status decision.

Scope and decision verification

The applicant provides actual producer, product and parcel information and genuine production records. Confirm Kayra’s permitted role, relevant authority and independence before any requested activity; a commercial name or quotation does not establish KSK authorisation. İTU control and certification belong to the authorised KSK, which article 18 prohibits from providing consultancy. The producer remains responsible for implementation.
