Choosing FDA preparation support and a US agent
Define consultancy tasks separately from regulatory submissions, US-agent duties and FDA decisions.
Applicable route
Ask a provider to state the product branch, covered facilities and deliverables: classification review, data reconciliation, submission preparation or responses. Do not accept a package promising one FDA certificate for food, devices, drugs and cosmetics. FDA says registration assistance companies are not its contracted registration agents.
Records and action
A foreign facility's US-agent requirement must be checked under the relevant programme. Identify the actual proposed agent, contact details, written appointment and duties separately from consultancy. This page does not establish that Kayra is an appointed US agent or authorize access to a client's account.
Example and boundaries
Example: a quotation includes registration but omits the foreign facility's agent confirmation. Resolve the appointment and required confirmation before submission; do not enter an unwilling person's details. Kayra's agreed preparation work does not purchase an approval, inspection outcome or customs release.
