When is the SABER route required?
Determine the product and import purpose before choosing conformity or self-declaration.
Identify the applicable route
Check the actual product, intended use, import purpose, HS classification and applicable Saudi technical regulation. The platform distinguishes commercial products, products not intended for consumer display and vehicle imports. A product outside a technical regulation is not automatically outside all registration or shipment obligations; check the applicable importer self-declaration and shipment service.
Avoid decisions based only on a sales description
Calling a machine part a sample does not establish an exemption, and a European CE mark does not replace the applicable Saudi route. Clarify ambiguous classification and additional requirements with the competent official service or accepted body.
