WaterMark questions: licence, installation and WELS
Does a laboratory report replace a licence? No: it is evidence for the WMCAB’s product and production assessment.
Resolve practical questions with the actual product file
Does a laboratory report replace a licence? No: it is evidence for the WMCAB’s product and production assessment. Does a licence for one model cover every variant? Check certified scope and supporting evidence; a shared brand does not settle coverage.
Does WaterMark replace WELS? No: WaterMark product certification and water-efficiency registration and labelling are separate obligations that may both apply. Does a licensed product approve any installation? Read its Scope of Use and applicable installation rules; product certification is not approval of an entire plumbing design.
Responsible preparation and decision
Conditional case: a seller displays a WaterMark licence but asks you to infer WELS registration and suitability for a hotter installation. Verify each separate claim and use limit. Do not invent efficiency registration, a temperature rating or whole-project approval.
Kayra can organize documents and coordinate questions. The manufacturer or licence holder, WMCAB and laboratory retain their assigned duties. Kayra is not presented as a WaterMark issuer, regulator or accredited laboratory; preparation does not guarantee acceptance or a date.
