ISO/IEC 27001 Certificate Enquiry
Verify the actual certificate and its present status before relying on a logo, PDF or QR code. Verification establishes what a specific issuer has certified, not whether every transaction is satisfactory. The applicant implements the system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra concerns actual activities, sites, application information, authority and impartiality risks; this role does not include designing or implementing the client’s system.

Match identity, scope and live status
Record the certificate number, legal entity, sites, scope, standard edition, issuer, issue and expiry dates. Obtain the current status from the issuer through independently located contact details. A matching expiry date is insufficient if certification is suspended, withdrawn or narrowed. Record when the check was made and retain the reply or register result.
Resolve mismatches before accepting the claim
If a supplier presents a headquarters certificate for work at an unlisted plant, request the scope and site annex before treating the plant as covered. Check claimed accreditation in the accreditation body’s current register and precise scope. A valid system certificate is not product approval; an unresolved identity, activity or status mismatch should remain unresolved in the purchasing decision.
Build a retrievable control trail
Link a risk, treatment decision and applicable control to an owner and current record. Access approvals, leaver removal, restore tests, supplier reviews and incident handling should refer to the services in scope. Protect sensitive evidence while allowing the assessor appropriate access. A confidential classification should not become a reason to present no evidence.
Standard edition and programme limits
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 with its 2024 amendment addresses an information security management system. Risk assessment and treatment, the Statement of Applicability and control results must relate to scope. Certification does not guarantee no attack, security of every product or satisfaction of all data-protection duties.
ISO does not issue certificates. Verify the proposed issuer, standard and activity against any claimed accreditation scope. Consultancy cannot guarantee approval; the competent body evaluates evidence and makes the independent decision. The applicant implements the system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra concerns actual activities, sites, application information, authority and impartiality risks; this role does not include designing or implementing the client’s system. A management-system certification body, other parts of the same legal entity and controlled entities cannot offer or provide management-system consultancy; separate contracts do not remove this restriction.
Official sources and application limits
The operating examples are hypothetical, not customer events or guaranteed decisions. The actual standard and competent body determine requirements.
