TSE product questions: components, model families and pending applications
Understand what a component certificate proves, when similar models need scope evidence and what can honestly be presented before TSE issues a result.
Does a certified component cover the finished product?
No automatic transfer follows from a component certificate. Conditional example: a supplier offers a finished pump assembly using a motor with a TSE product certificate. Identify the motor’s actual document and the finished assembly’s applicable technical basis. The motor evidence does not itself establish that the complete pump has been assessed for all its relevant requirements.
Keep component identity and evidence in the preparation file, but ask which finished-product scope and evidence TSE will assess. Do not place the component’s certificate number beside the assembly as if it were the assembly’s issued certificate. The correct result depends on the actual programme and accepted product scope.
Are similar ratings automatically one certified model family?
An unchanged commercial series name is not sufficient evidence of scope. Compare the certificate annexes with the offered models and their relevant differences: material, power, construction or operating conditions. If only one configuration is identified, do not infer inclusion of every nearby rating.
Prepare a model-to-evidence comparison showing what is identical, what differs and which requirement may be affected. TSE determines the accepted grouping and evidence in its programme. A preparer can assemble this comparison but cannot add models by issuing its own family list or by renaming an old test report.
What can be shown to a buyer while the application is pending?
State the true application status and identify available reports as reports. An actual application reference can document submission; it is not an issued certificate. If a buyer requires a completed TSE certificate, ask how the buyer treats the unresolved requirement rather than presenting preparation or payment as certification.
For an issued result, check official status, full holder/model/site scope and current mark conditions before quotation or labelling. Kayra can help distinguish existing evidence from open work and prepare a truthful scope/status record. Its contact reply or preparation deliverable cannot change TSE’s decision or mark permission.

The exact records for TSE Product Certificate: How to Obtain It depend on the confirmed scope. Current, consistent and traceable information reduces avoidable revisions.
