CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE GUIDE

TSEK questions: prototype evidence, other certificates and export limits

A tested prototype, an ISO certificate and a TSEK document answer different questions. Match the actual production, programme and destination-market requirement before claiming coverage.

01

Does a successful prototype test cover later production?

Not automatically. Identify the accepted criterion, configuration actually tested and production proposed for certification. TSEK concerns conformity to its accepted programme basis, including relevant manufacturing evidence; a favourable result for one prototype is not by itself a certificate for everything later sold under the same name.

Conditional example: the prototype had one wall thickness, but the planned series uses a different thickness or material. Compare the affected requirement and sample/report identity and obtain TSE’s evidence position. Do not change the report’s sample description to represent the series. Genuine additional evidence and implemented production controls may be needed; their extent depends on the actual programme.

02

Can company ISO certification or a laboratory document replace TSEK?

A management-system document concerns its stated system scope, and a laboratory report concerns the actual sample, method and result. Neither should be relabelled as TSEK product certification. When a buyer expressly asks for TSEK under an identified criterion, compare that request with the document actually issued rather than submitting the most recognisable logo.

Check issuer, programme, product/model scope and current official record. A laboratory’s status also does not decide that its result is sufficient for this criterion or grant product-mark permission. TSE evaluates programme acceptance and decides certification; Kayra can organise the comparison and preparation, while the applicant supplies truthful product and manufacturing evidence.

03

Does TSEK automatically permit export or every product use?

No universal market permission follows from the name. A TSEK document covers its actual criterion and issued scope under TSE’s conditions. Identify the destination market, product category and use and determine separate legal requirements. For products subject to CE legislation, the applicable conformity route, manufacturer evidence and declaration remain separate duties.

If an export buyer requests additional evidence, clarify the actual legal or contractual basis and accepted document before promising equivalence. Use the mark only within actual permission and scope. A preparation contract, renewal receipt or genuine certificate for another model does not resolve a new market requirement; keep unresolved product and market questions visible.
