G Marking Questions: Scope, Documents and Changes

G marking is a Turkish national route for construction products placed on the market for permanent incorporation in construction works where mandatory CE marking does not apply. Determine the product, intended use and applicable technical specification before choosing the route. A cheaper quotation does not make G an alternative to a required CE assessment.
Is G a cheaper alternative to required CE marking?
No. Determine the technical route first. If mandatory CE marking applies to the product and intended use, a G offer does not replace it. For national G scope, verify the specification and attestation tasks instead of choosing a mark by price.
Does an old certificate cover a new plant or formulation?
Not automatically. Compare the document scope and underlying evidence with the actual product and site. Explain the change and confirm any additional tests, controls, notification or scope revision. Shared ownership or a familiar product name does not prove assessment of the new conditions.
Is a declaration the same as a body certificate?
No. The applicable national route determines whether a G conformity certificate and/or declaration is required and who performs the supporting tasks. The manufacturer’s duties remain. Preparing a template or paying a fee does not show that conformity assessment has been completed.
The official Turkish product-rules database distinguishes the national G conformity certificate and/or G conformity declaration from the CE performance declaration. Required manufacturer and assessment-body tasks follow the applicable national technical specification and attestation system. A document bearing a logo does not establish completed assessment.
