How to Prepare a G Marking Application
Prepare a product-specific G enquiry with intended use, national technical basis, production sites and existing evidence.
Updated:
G marking is a Turkish national route for construction products placed on the market for permanent incorporation in construction works where mandatory CE marking does not apply. Determine the product, intended use and applicable technical specification before choosing the route. A cheaper quotation does not make G an alternative to a required CE assessment.
Define the proposed application
Provide the manufacturer’s legal identity, product types, intended uses and actual sites. Identify the current technical specification and explain any uncertainty about CE versus the national G route before commissioning tests. A company name alone does not define the product scope.
Inventory evidence before scheduling
List existing product-type tests or calculations, their sample identity and date, and production-control records. Identify missing tasks against the applicable attestation system. Ask the competent body which information it needs; do not create or backdate evidence for tests or inspections that never occurred.
Resolve scope changes before release
If a new plant, material source or formulation differs from the reviewed scope, explain it in the enquiry. Confirm which assessment and document updates are needed before presenting the changed product as covered. An agreed appointment or submitted file is not a positive conformity decision.
The official Turkish product-rules database distinguishes the national G conformity certificate and/or G conformity declaration from the CE performance declaration. Required manufacturer and assessment-body tasks follow the applicable national technical specification and attestation system. A document bearing a logo does not establish completed assessment.
The manufacturer remains responsible for the product, production controls, truthful records and required declaration and marking. An enquiry to Kayra can identify product scope, existing evidence and necessary technical tasks. Verify any assessment body’s actual designation for the product and task; this page does not claim that Kayra is designated to issue a G conformity certificate.
