01

Does incorporation mean the final machine is compliant?

No. A declaration of incorporation and assembly instructions for partly completed machinery describe integration conditions. They are inputs to the final assembly’s assessment, not a declaration that the final machine is ready for use or automatically entitled to machinery CE marking.

In a hypothetical robot-cell project, the supplied robot arm lacks the final guarding and access controls. The integrator must examine the cell’s hazards, interfaces and coordinated safety functions. The robot supplier’s documents do not close those tasks.

02

Does an electrical report cover machine safety?

No. Electrical verification cannot by itself demonstrate protection against crushing, ejection or unexpected movement. Select evidence from actual risks and relevant requirements; warnings and operator training cannot replace practicable safe design or necessary protective measures.

For example, a machine can pass an electrical check while a removable guard gives access to a moving belt. Evaluate the access and stopping behaviour, implement suitable protection and verify the result before relying on the electrical report in the file.

03

Can an existing label justify a changed line?

A previous CE label is not evidence for every later configuration. Compare intended use, controls, speed, loads and interfaces after a line change. Identify the responsible manufacturer and whether the change requires a new assessment under the applicable rules.

Kayra can help organise these product questions and evidence gaps within agreed work. The manufacturer declares conformity; a notified body is involved only where the selected legal route requires or uses it. The 20 January 2027 transition must be checked against the actual EU placement date.

For “Machinery CE questions: incorporation, electrical tests and line safety”, share the machine function, current model and design revision, intended use, planned EU placement date and available risk or test records. Agreed product preparation work does not replace the manufacturer’s declaration or a legally required notified-body procedure.
