Electrical shock
Plasma arc tension, torch and wet working conditions require proper insulation, connection and maintenance.
For Plasma cutting machine, the applicable CE scope is determined from intended use, energy sources, safety architecture and target market. The risk assessment, technical file, testing and conformity route must be verified against the actual model.

The machine can have an open water board, dry-sink board, pipe cutting axis, or oxygen combination. Each option changes emissions, fire risk, and operator access. The technical definition specifies cutting flow, torch type, gases, portal speed, board size, alloys to be processed, and automatic height control. In the case of a long portal beam operating without an environmental fence, human detection, impact, and foot-clogging scenarios must be resolved with field location.
The arc brightness and UV radiation can affect not only the operator but also nearby employees. The cutting smoke system is selected according to the material and production speed allowed because it can carry toxic components according to the material coating. The heat drain accumulates under the board; contact with improper cleaning or combustible waste creates fire. Process-specific scenarios such as hydrogen accumulation on the water board are treated according to the material and operating conditions.
The plasma power source, cutting board and smoke-emitting is clearly defined within or outside the product boundary. When the machine is first placed on the market or put into service in the EU/AEA, the date of this first event is taken into account. The date includes 19 hob 2027, 2006/42/EC, and from 20 hob 2027, (EU) 2023/1230 is applied; for Turkey, 2006/42/AT and national compliance are verified separately. Due to the electronic structure, 2014/30/EU EMC is also taken into account. EN 60204-1 helps with the electrical equipment, product types for thermal cutting hazards are also selected. Pipes and regulators are associated with the technical file according to the delivery limit.
The following data shows why even models with the same product name can change the path of conformity.
The protective, control and verification approach shall be based on the actual product cycle.
Plasma arc tension, torch and wet working conditions require proper insulation, connection and maintenance.
The back effects of the eye and skin should include those around the screen and personal protection.
Stainless, galvanized or painted metal produces different emissions; its casting capacity is based on the list of materials.
The hot metal under the table is the burning and fire hazard; the waste collection and cooling method are defined.
A wide-moving beam can trap the person in the work area; environmental and sensory measures are required.
A single product name doesn't give the same answer for all models.
| The subject | The situation | Product-based evaluation |
|---|---|---|
| The Commission shall adopt implementing acts in accordance with Article 21 of Regulation (EC) No 2006/42/EC and Turkey's 2006/42/AT. | YES, YES | The Directive period begins with the first supply or first service in the EU/EEA for plasma cutting machines. |
| (EU) 2023/1230 | IT 'S A MESS . | In the EU/EEA, the regulatory period begins when plasma cutting machines are first offered or put into service for the first time. |
| The following information is provided for in Article 2 (1) of Regulation (EU) No 575/2014: | IT 'S A MESS . | The electromagnetic effects of the arc start, power supply and CNC system are evaluated. |
| 2014/35/EU LVD | NO , NOT AT ALL . | Electrical hazards are assessed in accordance with Appendix I 1.5.1 to the Plasma Cutting Machine File 2006/42/AT; the plasma power source or electrical by-product sold separately is examined in its supply status. |
| 2014/68/EU PED | IT 'S A MESS . | The gas line and pressure equipment shall be examined for delivery scope. |

ISO management system certification does not replace product-specific risk analysis, test evidence and compliance file.
The table, portal, power source, torch, gas and range of material are combined into a single product definition.
Smoke, UV, noise and sewage scenarios are combined with the manufacturer's permitted materials.
The portal environment, the pipe axis, emergency shutdown and energy return behavior are verified by field measurements.
When conducting protective, adequate evidence is gathered for isolation, arc-starting effect, and control immunity.
The material, filler, gas and cleaning limits are transferred to the user document and declared with model identification.
Options such as water table, pipe axis, and high frequency start-up change the scope of verification.
Compare the top coverage or other similar risk architecture.
No, the proof of power source is stored, the port, torch, board, gas, saw and control integration is verified for the final machine.
Not for every process, but the need for ventilation is determined by the material, the cutting speed, the water level and the actual emissions.
There is no single universal solution. Fence, detection or other measures are selected based on the speed, access, visibility and field location of the portal.
The conformity of the regulator and the hoses supplied by the machine is monitored in the file; the installation or pipe limit is clearly indicated in the instructions for use.
Yes, since the coating changes the smoke composition, the manufacturer's permitted material and the condition of the spray must be clearly written.
Yes, the pressure, combustion, smoke composition and valve choice of gas can vary; risk assessment, instructions and, if necessary, ATEX/PED coverage are re-checked.
