amfori BSCI: Check the report in its actual context
Updated:
amfori BSCI is a programme for assessing and improving social risks at production sites; it is not certification.
Check the report in its actual context
Before showing a report to a new buyer, match producer identity, address, assessment date, scope and the platform relationship. If production has moved, disclose the move and clarify the route with the member. A PDF forwarded by email does not establish current platform access or acceptance by every buyer. Record findings and subsequent action status separately from the rating.
Verify the deliverable and report access
State site identity, RSP holder, auditing company, scope and follow-up service in the quotation. Check the report’s site, date, findings and access permissions; confirm customer sharing and commercial use against platform and buyer requirements. Preparation is not purchase of amfori membership or a BSCI certificate. Name the programme report and the consultant’s working file as distinct deliverables.
Match the customer to the actual site
Compare legal name, facility address, production activities, shifts and workforce arrangements with the platform record. Scope example: a buyer requests the main factory’s report, while part of the order is produced in another workshop. Clarify the assessed site and outsourced work with the RSP holder. A report for one address cannot automatically represent another facility or company in the group.
