Decision and worked example

Example: A first-time applicant treats a consultant's training attendance as a certification application. Define sites, workforce and subcontracted operations, then confirm the route with the actual CAB. Complete current training and self-assessment requirements and link implementation gaps to an action plan. Prepare payroll and worker-practice connections for assessment. Existing certified organisations track transition separately; a self-assessment score is not a favourable certificate decision. A consultant or training provider cannot make the decision assigned to the certification body.

Conditions and authority limits

Use the 2026 edition and owner's current transition timeline. CAB eligibility must be checked before promising an audit date; a 2014 certificate is not a new-edition decision.
