ISO service selection and certification preparation
Choose the management system that addresses your operating risk and customer requirement. Kayra helps with preparation and coordination; ISO publishes standards and a competent certification body makes the independent certification decision.

Define the route and boundary
Use the service links below to choose a starting point. ISO 9001 concerns quality processes and customer requirements; ISO 14001 environmental aspects and obligations; ISO 45001 occupational hazards and worker participation. ISO/IEC 27001 addresses information-security risks, ISO 22000 food-safety hazards, and ISO 13485 medical-device quality processes. ISO 22301 addresses business continuity, ISO 50001 energy performance and ISO/IEC 20000-1 IT service management. Selection depends on actual activities and required acceptance, not the popularity of a certificate.
A practical decision before a claim
A hypothetical software service provider might need evidence about service availability, change control and incident handling, making ISO/IEC 20000-1 relevant. Sensitive customer information can also justify a separate ISO/IEC 27001 risk assessment. A quality requirement in a contract may point to ISO 9001. These systems overlap in some records but have different objectives; do not purchase all three before checking the service boundary and the customer’s stated requirement.
Records, deliverables and quotation
For a preparation enquiry, describe the legal entity, services, sites, staff, outsourced activities, existing records and intended customer or tender. Review the gap between actual operating practice and the chosen requirements, then assign actions, maintain evidence and conduct internal review. Request separate quotations for implementation assistance and the certification body’s application, audit and certification cycle. Missing evidence, multiple sites and findings affect timing; a promised certificate date is not a substitute for readiness.
Who reviews and who decides
Kayra’s consultancy is not the issuing body’s independent decision. Check the body’s identity, current accreditation scope, applicable standard edition and customer acceptance. ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026 are current catalogue editions; publication does not itself update a body’s older accredited scope or establish a transition deadline. ISO does not issue your certificate. Accreditation recognises a body’s competence for a defined scope, rather than guaranteeing every applicant’s conformity or every product’s legal approval.
Official sources and application limits
The operating examples are hypothetical, not customer events or guaranteed decisions. The actual standard and competent body determine requirements.
