Use and aggregate source before the standard
Identify concrete, asphalt or unbound use, grading, natural/recycled origin, production site and supplied fractions. Check the actual cited harmonised specification and its intended-use scope. A report for road-base aggregate is not automatically evidence for concrete aggregate from the same quarry.
Hypothetical case: recycled feed is added to a previously natural aggregate. Record the source and composition change, compare the proposed use with the existing assessment and identify unproven characteristics. Do not retain the old declaration solely because the commercial grading name is unchanged.
Link samples, results and production control
Prepare a source-to-lot record, sampling identity, fraction/gradation, relevant test methods and actual results. Match each report to its material, production configuration and intended use. These are preparation examples; the applicable specification determines required characteristics and control tasks.
If a result refers to a different stockpile or unidentified sample, identify the traceability gap before accepting it as current evidence. Connect screening/crushing settings, segregation and nonconforming-material decisions to the production records. One laboratory report does not establish continuing control of every dispatched lot.
Applicable assessment and declaration roles
Determine the actual assessment system from the product/use specification and relevant rules; aggregates must not all be labelled system 2+ by default. Where notified-body FPC certification is required, verify current product/task designation. Manufacturer tasks and laboratory/body tasks are distinct.
The manufacturer retains the declaration and CE obligations for the actual assessed product. Kayra supports preparation and coordination, not the body's decision. A change of feedstock, grading or site must be reviewed against the documented scope; CE alone does not guarantee suitability for a particular mix design or project.
Responsibility
Kayra supports technical scope, records and external-assessment coordination. The legally required manufacturer declaration and assessment-body decisions remain with their respective responsible parties. No notified-body, TAB or nationally assigned-body status is claimed; no positive result or fixed completion date is guaranteed.
