Programme and responsibilities
Halal cosmetics are assessed against the selected programme's formulation and production requirements. Check the cosmetics programme in the HAK register separately from food accreditation. Halal assessment does not replace cosmetic safety documentation or applicable market-notification obligations.
Worked decision example
Planning example: A fragrance-free cream and its perfumed version are proposed under one application. Obtain supplier-specific origin information for glycerine, the perfume blend and its carriers; INCI names alone do not answer origin questions. Include the contract manufacturer, mixing and filling equipment and processing aids in scope discussions. Present formula differences to the actual issuer rather than assuming both versions are identical. A general “natural” claim does not establish halal conformity.
Preparation and verification
Prepare a product/formula version list, raw-material origin and process statements, and batch flow. Review the proposed body's current status and cosmetics scope. Logo use depends on its conditions. Preparation work does not confer unverified scheme authority on Kayra or QRS.
