Design representations

Prepare consistent views that disclose the same design and its relevant visible features. Explain omitted views and any excluded parts where required. Mixed colours, inconsistent shapes or unclear contours can leave the intended protection uncertain.

File case: one photograph is supplied for a collection containing six different leg and surface variants. Number each design and prepare consistent views and excluded portions where relevant. Check multiple-application grouping, priority and fee items. Compare official publication with submitted views. A single collection image does not adequately disclose every variant automatically. Tie renewal instructions to registration numbers rather than product names.

Multiple-design applications

A multiple-design application still requires each included design to be identified and adequately represented. Check grouping/class requirements and calculate the number of designs correctly. A collage of several products is not a substitute for separate design disclosure.

Design registration costs

Budget design filing using the number of designs, reproductions and requested procedural services. Separate current official charges from professional work and later renewals. A single headline price may omit multiple-design, priority or publication-related costs.

Design registration timeline

Design timing depends on a complete application, examination, publication and any opposition or deficiency response. Establish milestones from the actual official file. Do not promise a fixed registration date before examining those dependencies.

Design priority

Design priority can connect a later filing to an earlier qualifying application within the relevant six-month period. Preserve the first application and verify identity of the design and applicant entitlement. A different variant cannot simply inherit every earlier priority claim.

Design publication and opposition

A design publication must be checked against the filed views, design number and date. In Türkiye the publication opposition period is three months. Keep the bulletin and monitor notices; publication, opposition and renewal are distinct procedural events.

Design renewal

Renew each registered design against its filing-date calendar and applicable official renewal conditions; record priority events separately. Check design numbers, ownership and payment evidence. Renewing one product in a portfolio does not renew every related design automatically.

Official filing and support
