Selecting comprehensive requirements

ISO 3834-2:2021 describes comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials in workshops and at installation sites. It is not a welder qualification standard. Select this level using ISO 3834-1 and relevant product, contract and technical needs; parts 3 and 4 describe different levels.

What changes in actual production?

Link a real welded joint to its material, welding procedure and applicable qualification, qualified operator and inspection result. Allocate welding coordination tasks and competence under ISO 14731. Purchased procedures and named personnel do not prove implementation; inspect actual ranges and records.

Where does the claim stop?

ISO 3834-5 connects the standards needed for a conformity claim. A requested certificate must state part, activities, sites and body program. Welding quality does not replace product CE, EN 1090 FPC or PED duties. Kayra prepares scope/gap analysis and records; certification decisions remain with the chosen body.
