Scope and level

ISO 3834 concerns quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials in workshops and field installation. Define products, processes, materials, sites and subcontracted activities. Part 1 supports selection of Parts 2, 3 or 4: comprehensive, standard or elementary requirements. Check application standards and contracts rather than choosing by certificate price.

Coordination and evidence

ISO 14731 links welding coordination tasks to competent personnel appointed by the manufacturer. Match applicable procedure, personnel and inspection evidence to the real production scope; a welder certificate alone does not demonstrate the whole system. Part 5 identifies related standards for conformity claims.

Decision and consulting

For certification, verify the provider’s programme and scope. ISO publishes standards; Kayra supports preparation and evidence coordination without claiming accredited certification status or guaranteeing a decision. ISO 3834 work does not automatically fulfil every product CE or factory-control duty.
