Evidence basis

The natural cosmetics file should connect formula versions with origin and processing documents. COSMOS v4.2 and its labelling guide address separate parts of the programme assessment. Verify the registered body's relevant service scope and quotation rather than inferring approval from a general logo.

Change and record example

File example: An extract with the same INCI name comes from a new supplier, while the old file describes a different solvent and carrier. Collect the new composition, process statement and relevant accepted documents. Have the calculation and proposed natural-origin claim reviewed again. Matching INCI names do not transfer the earlier decision to the new material. Compare print artwork with the last accepted formula; a purchase invoice alone does not close the evidence gap.

Quotation and schedule checks

Separate product variants, raw-material document gaps, contract manufacture, audit and label review in the cost plan. Additional evidence or reformulation affects timing. An ISO 16128 calculation is not a COSMOS licence. Advice and the authorised body's decision or signature permission remain separate responsibilities.
