Scope and technical route
PED 2014/68/EU addresses in-scope equipment with maximum allowable pressure PS above 0.5 bar; exclusions and specific equipment laws also matter. Classification needs equipment type, fluid state/group and appropriate V or DN data, not pressure alone. Article 4(3) sound-engineering equipment does not bear PED CE marking; other applicable marking rules are checked separately.
Evidence, work and cost
Select an Article 14 module from the category and verify required notified-body or other third-party tasks. A final assembly is not automatically compliant because its components have CE. Design, material, joining and examination evidence must support the actual product and operating limits. Periodic in-service inspection is a separate duty.
Responsibility
Kayra supports the scope note, evidence plan and assessment coordination. It does not claim notified-body or accredited laboratory status and does not guarantee a positive result or fixed certificate date. Manufacturer and required assessment-body duties remain separate. This guide addresses the EU/EEA route; national market and operation rules need their own check.
