01

Identify the claim, variants and existing evidence

Provide protected risk, reasoned category, model, material and size variants, use limits and market. Supply reports, existing type documents, instructions and production records. Indicate which samples represent which variants. Model count alone does not explain test scope, external procedure or production-stage work.

Example: mechanical-glove reports are offered for a chemical-protection claim, and a new fabric is included. Record what the existing tests establish and what remains open for the intended claim and material. Do not price the dossier as complete or describe the old type as covering the new range.

02

Separate preparation and category-dependent external work

List dossier preparation, performance tests, required type examination, production control and surveillance where applicable separately. Category and real protection claim determine external tasks. For Category III, include the applicable C2 or D stage rather than treating the type certificate as the whole service.

Sample readiness, test results and body findings affect timing. A failed result or unrepresented variant can require correction, a justified extension or further testing. Define who orders and pays for each item; preparation payment does not guarantee positive testing, acceptance or a fixed CE date.

03

Plan milestones and preserve scope after changes

Separate claim/category confirmation, evidence and sample readiness, external tasks, responses and the manufacturer’s final outputs. Assign owners and closure evidence to open items. The competent body retains its real procedural decision; Kayra supports preparation and cannot promise the decision date.

Include material, design, size-range and protection changes in the scope of follow-up. Review effects on reports, type and production assessment before using old documents. Workplace selection and care remain separate. Compare proposals by actual tasks, exclusions and evidence gaps, not an unexplained universal certificate price.

04

Responsibility

Kayra supports the scope note, evidence plan and assessment coordination. It does not claim notified-body or accredited laboratory status and does not guarantee a positive result or fixed certificate date. Manufacturer and required assessment-body duties remain separate. This guide addresses the EU/EEA route; national market and operation rules need their own check.
