01

Provide the inputs that determine the preparation scope

For a proposal, identify the product and variants, Saudi use, manufacturer, importer/account, proposed regulation, product records and planned shipment. Supply existing reports, ratings, labels and known gaps. The number of products alone does not show whether the same evidence can represent them or whether separate assessment is needed.

Example: a supplier has a report for one heater, while the shipment contains a new control assembly and another rated supply. Mark what the report establishes and what remains open. Do not price the file as complete until the model differences and acceptance of existing evidence have been reviewed.

02

Separate preparation from external and shipment work

List consultancy preparation, additional tests, required body assessment, product-certification/platform work and shipment work separately. Identify who orders and pays for each item, including any external service. An official charge is not the whole project price; a city name or general product heading does not justify a universal SABER fee.

If a report or label does not match the real model, the next task may be clarification, revised documentation or further assessment. Record the dependency before agreeing the work. Paying for preparation does not guarantee that a SASO-accepted body will accept the report or that customs will release the consignment.

03

Use milestones and check what must be updated

Plan product identification, scope confirmation, evidence review, any additional testing, responses and the actual shipment task as separate milestones. Each stage needs an owner and a completion input. The required decision remains with the competent accepted body in its scope; Kayra cannot promise its outcome or date.

Include the actual shipment-certificate validity and any applicable October 2026 label change in the work plan without turning them into guaranteed processing times. A different model, supplier or shipment may require updated records. Compare proposals by included tasks, exclusions and unresolved evidence, rather than by a promised certificate date.

04

Responsibility

Kayra supports the actual product scope, report inventory and coordination of the Saudi file. The Saudi importer/account holder and manufacturer retain their respective product and shipment duties. The required conformity decision belongs to the SASO-accepted body in its actual scope; consultancy is not that designation or customs authority. Preparation does not guarantee release or a fixed completion date.
