For a trademark file, prepare applicant identity, the exact sign, goods/services and official fee information. Add priority, consent, transliteration or representation documents when applicable. A generic company profile alone is not the complete trademark application.

File case: the quote includes only the initial application charge, but the client believes every cost through registration has been paid. Put the approved sign, owner identity, class list, official charges and service scope into one review sheet. Separate application, registration-stage and possible opposition work. Link payment to the correct official number. A low starting price must not be presented as a final cost or guaranteed registration outcome.

Separate trademark filing charges, registration-stage charges and professional service fees. Check class coverage and the current TÜRKPATENT tariff. A quote must state what it includes; paying a consultant does not guarantee an official registration.

Trademark registration timeline

Trademark timing includes examination, bulletin publication and any opposition or deficiency response. Follow the actual file and notices rather than a generic duration promise. No provider can guarantee an uncontested registration by a fixed date.

Applying for a trademark

Before a Turkish trademark filing, identify the owner, exact sign and actual goods/services, then check earlier rights. Submit the correct ePATS application and official payment information. A domain purchase or company incorporation does not replace trademark registration.

Trademark renewal with late surcharge

A trademark missed at ordinary renewal may have a six-month additional renewal period with the required surcharge. Check the exact expiry date and current official tariff before payment. Do not apply this trademark rule indiscriminately to patent fees or every foreign registration.

Evidence of genuine trademark use

Collect genuine-use evidence showing time, territory, goods/services and commercial use of the mark. Link invoices, packaging, advertising and sales records to the relevant period. An isolated screenshot without context may not establish the claimed use.

Trademark portfolio management

Reconcile trademark portfolios by owner, sign, goods/services, territories, renewal dates and use evidence. Link every licence and transfer to the relevant registration. A domain, trade name and registered trademark are separate assets and need separate records.

Official filing and support
