Evidence basis

Origin and processing statements for ambiguous ingredients must match the actual formula and supplier. Cruelty-free and vegan are different claims. Check the owner's trademark criteria and allergen explanation separately rather than treating one marketing statement as the entire assessment.

Change and record example

File example: The flavour carrier in a plant-based dessert changes, but the team keeps the old supplier letter. Request statements for the new manufacturer and material code, then identify affected recipes and batches. Review cleaning after dairy products in the shared mixer. Do not announce a licensing result based only on a finished-product test while source information is unresolved. Send the change to the actual programme owner; earlier approval does not automatically cover every new formula.

Quotation and schedule checks

The quotation should distinguish variant count, supplier enquiries, preparation and the programme's licensing assessment. Unanswered origin questions affect timing. A consultant cannot authorise a proprietary logo. Cross-contact control is different from an allergen-free guarantee, and the proposed label must also avoid misleading consumers.
