GDP application: activity, returns and competent authority

Define the jurisdiction and activity

GDP preparation identifies product category, warehouse sites, suppliers, recipients, carriers and contracted services. In the EEA, wholesale distribution authorisation and inspection belong to the national competent authority. For a Turkish medicinal-product warehouse, check the relevant Provincial Health Directorate’s current procedure separately. The European route cannot substitute for the Turkish application.

Separate returns from outbound deliveries

In a hypothetical review, customer returns are placed beside new deliveries. Track returned batch identity, source, transport history, receiving records and holding area separately. An intact carton does not automatically make a medicine suitable for resale. Return to stock, quarantine or another action requires the documented assessment of the appropriate responsible people; a consultant does not decide product usability.

Connect evidence to the product and place

Link warehouse layout, product storage conditions, equipment suitability, transport agreements and shipment-to-recipient records in one process map. Recall preparation should identify destinations of the relevant batch. Assess whether records support one another before counting documents. If a new carrier or transfer hub is involved, clarify responsibilities and evidence access contractually; warehouse-only measurements do not explain the external distribution stage.

Apply for the correct official deliverable

Confirm the application list with the competent authority for the actual product and activity.
