Direct answer
Use the declaration model required by the applicable product legislation. Verify legal manufacturer identity, precise product identification, the responsibility statement, legislation, technical references and any required body details. The signatory's name and role must represent valid authority, rather than merely a completed template field.
Decision and evidence
Trace each declared model to evidence and the signature mandate. A laboratory report or paid certification service does not automatically transfer the manufacturer's declaration responsibility.
Technical basis
The declaration is the manufacturer’s signed legal statement. Product identification, applicable legislation, standards, authorised signatory and technical-file link must be consistent.

Does the testing laboratory sign the EU declaration?
The manufacturer, or an authorised representative within its permitted mandate, draws up the declaration under applicable legislation. Laboratory reports may support it. Identify the signatory's authority and represented party. Purchasing third-party services does not automatically transfer manufacturer responsibility.
Can several models appear in one declaration?
A shared declaration may be possible if products are clearly identifiable and its basis covers each model. Explain differences requiring distinct legislation or evidence. Show model relationships instead of vague family descriptions. Adding a name does not complete missing tests or assessment.
