01

Record why legislation applies

Describe the product’s functions and limits, including features relevant to electrical safety, radio, moving parts, pressure or use environment. For each possible act record applicable, excluded or awaiting review, with a reason. A blank entry does not demonstrate that a rule is irrelevant.

02

Distinguish requirements from standards

Legal requirements come from legislation. Harmonised standards are generally voluntary technical routes. Under the relevant official references and conditions they may provide a presumption of conformity for the requirements they cover. Check the standard version, reference, limitations and risks not addressed by it.

03

Connect each requirement to proof

Useful working columns include the act and provision, scope reason, standard version, applied clauses, evidence identifier, product version, owner and open action. Partial application of a standard must be visible, with alternative solutions for remaining requirements. A report naming a standard is not proof of every requirement. Kayra can organise this working matrix; it remains a documentation aid, not an authority decision or notified-body certificate.
