Plan the assigned assessment tasks

The applicable system determines whether the manufacturer, laboratory or notified body assesses product performance and whether factory production control requires certification and surveillance. System 4 does not entail a notified body certificate; systems involving third parties have different tasks. Check environmental-characteristic verification separately where system 3+ applies.

If a window system uses glass different from the tested specimen, disclose that difference before assessment. The responsible assessor must determine the acceptable evidence and any further work; scheduling a factory visit alone does not resolve product performance.
