Does System 1 mean a better-quality product than System 4?
Numbers describe allocation of assessment tasks, not performance classes. The technical basis and intended use determine the applicable system. Duties cannot be changed simply to reduce cost. Keep performance values distinct from the assessment system in quotations and declarations.
Does an FPC certificate under System 2+ end the manufacturer's testing duties?
Identify manufacturer and notified body tasks separately from the applicable framework. FPC certification does not replace product assessment or control records. Specify who tests what and how often. Surveillance does not transfer every daily production decision to the body.
