01

Which products need CE marking?

CE marking applies only where EU harmonisation legislation requires it. Product function, intended use and exclusions must be checked; a commercial product name alone does not establish scope. This article concerns placing products on the EU/EEA market. Applicable national rules must also be checked for the Turkish market.

02

Choose the assessment route

The manufacturer identifies all applicable legislation and the prescribed assessment procedure. More than one act may apply to the same product. Independent assessment by a notified body is required only where the relevant procedure calls for it; purchasing a general certificate does not replace that procedure.

03

Build evidence and complete the output

Define the model, variants and design version. Connect risk assessment, drawings, standards, tests, labels and instructions to that product. A component report cannot automatically cover the complete assembly. The manufacturer remains responsible for the required declaration and marking, including when a notified body participates. Kayra supports scope analysis, documentation and coordination; this service does not assert notified-body status or guarantee approval.
