For CNC machining centre, the applicable CE scope is determined from intended use, energy sources, safety architecture and target market. The risk assessment, technical file, testing and conformity route must be verified against the actual model.

The technical definition of the processing center should be more detailed than the marketing name. The X-Y-Z axis strokes, rotary panel, workflow speed and conicity, storage capacity, automatic door, pallet changer, and high-pressure cooling options change the risk profile of the same model. The volume of access created by the board and head movement in a five-axis machine may differ from the standard three-axis counterpart. This usage is considered normal production limit if cabin panel can be removed for large parts processing; it is not considered a temporary user operation.
The assembly magazine and switch is often separated from the operator, but becomes accessible during the removal of the jammed equipment or the maintenance of the magazine. The pallet pool, rotary board, and the steel conveyor also produce dangerous movements separately from the main processing area. When the surrounding doors are opened, it is written as a safety requirement for which axis, pump, or manipulator will stop. The safe torque closure feature may be useful, but it cannot control the fall of the vertical axis or the stored hydraulic energy under gravity alone.
The palette changer, equipment store and cabin of the processing center are treated within the single product limit. According to the EU/AEA, the first market supply or first service is based on 2006/42/EC when it occurs on or after 19 hob 2027. If the same event occurs after 20 hob 2027, (EU) 2023/1230 is applied; for Turkey, 2006/42/AT and national compliance are also verified. Electronic drivers of the processing bring EMC coverage up. The separate LVD statement is not presupposed for the complete machine; electrical validation within the EN 60204-1 is part of the machine file.
