Batch and operating evidence

An evidence matrix can track ISO 22000, sector prerequisites and FSSC additions separately. For a changed production line, review the hazard analysis, hygiene arrangements and verification plan together. Check that records have dates and scopes matching current production.

Continuity after the audit

Publication of Version 7 does not mean every October 2026 audit uses it. Agree the applicable audit version and the transition after 1 May 2027 with the certification body. Track open findings, changes and follow-up assessments separately when planning certificate continuation.

Timing and cost planning

The schedule depends on category, sites, hazard studies and preparation gaps. Separate consultancy, the licensed body’s audit and any necessary testing costs. Holding ISO 22000 certification alone does not complete FSSC 22000; neither a positive decision nor a delivery date can be guaranteed.

Scope discussion and responsibilities

The applicant implements the system and prepares procedures specific to its own operations and operating records. A certification enquiry to Kayra concerns actual activities, sites, application information, authority and impartiality risks; this role does not include designing or implementing the client’s system. For FSSC certification, separately verify the selected legal entity’s programme licence, relevant scope and current status; ISO 22000 accreditation alone is not an FSSC licence. A management-system certification body, other parts of the same legal entity and controlled entities cannot offer or provide management-system consultancy; separate contracts do not remove this restriction.
