A food-hygiene duty does not mean every business must obtain the same commercial GMP/GHP certificate. Identify Turkish hygiene, registration or approval and product rules applicable to the activity separately. If a customer requests a GMP certificate, clarify the programme and food operation intended. Cosmetics ISO 22716 and pharmaceutical manufacturing GMP do not apply to food businesses merely because the names resemble each other.

Which scope and rules apply?

This article concerns good hygiene practices in a food business. GHP establishes hygienic conditions; HACCP examines controls for product and process specific hazards. ISO 22716 for cosmetics and applicable pharmaceutical GMP legislation are separate bases. Food hygiene preparation does not replace those programmes.

Example decision: a scope change

A hypothetical food business prepares another product after one containing milk. Cleaning having occurred does not alone demonstrate effective allergen control. Examine the method, accessible equipment surfaces, cleaning checks and the next product’s label together. Where results are inadequate, record the cause and recheck work rather than presume production suitability. This is food GHP preparation, not cosmetics ISO 22716 or pharmaceutical GMP coverage.
