The burning indecision
The ignition, re-ignition or extinguishing, gas category, suction, primary air and feed pressure are tested.
For Household gas cooking appliances, the applicable CE scope is determined from intended use, energy sources, safety architecture and target market. The risk assessment, technical file, testing and conformity route must be verified against the actual model.

The safety architecture is not unique, although the same fuel is used in the home-type gas cooking group from the tabletop oven to the anastre oven. In an open-burner oven, flame stability, the risk of the dishes turning and the accidental opening of the button are highlighted, while the discharge of combustion products in a closed-volume oven, the cover temperature, the behavior of the thermostat and the re-ignition are also studied.
GAR work is not a certificate purchase process. The manufacturer first describes the intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse of the device, then shows how the basic requirements are transferred to the design. The conformity assessment assesses the conformity of the modules combining EU type-examination and serial production monitoring, or unit verification for a single product. The scope of the approved entity is checked in terms of the group of devices and module in the NANDO record. After a positive process, the manufacturer prepares the EU Statement of conformity; the CE marking, the identification number of the entity involved in the production control process and the identification number of the entity with which the marking is attached, are added to the final two-digit file.
The category display, setting range, injector selection and installation instructions of the device are verified by market as the gas families and nominal feed pressures used in European countries can vary. If the conversion kits are presented, it is explained by whom the part can be replaced, what checks will be done after the setup and how the new category marking will be managed.
Models connected to the electrical grid may have a firing gear, fan, lamp, electronic card or timer. These equipment are examined via real configuration in terms of electric shock, overheating and electromagnetic effects; LVD and EMC results are justified according to voltage, integrated product structure and functions. RED analysis may also be performed on a device with a Wi-Fi or radio control.
Name similarity alone is not sufficient; the energy source, intended use, and safety architecture are read together.
| Product or limit | The distinguishing feature | The relevance of the results |
|---|---|---|
| Is this device designed to cook at home? | If so, the purpose of cooking is directly related to the device definition of the GAR. | |
| Will the type of gas or the country change? | The gas family, category and feeding pressure are re-checked; it is not assumed that breast replacement alone is sufficient for all models. | |
| hob and the oven in one body? | The brush, control and safety functions of each unit are examined separately; the electrical interfaces are verified at the device level by the common gas route. | |
| Does the device contain electrical auxiliary equipment? | Electromagnetic compatibility evidence for electrical safety and electrical control for ignition, fan, lamp and electronic control is selected according to the product architecture. | |
| Is there a conversion kit? | The kit's component list, implementing authority, settings and leakage control, new label information and target gas category are explained in the instruction. | |
| Is the product specific to industrial processes? | This is not the case for a home-type device; however, the exception to GAR Article 1 ((3) is also considered if it is only a product designed for specific process needs in an industrial facility. |
The protective, control and verification approach shall be based on the actual product cycle.
The ignition, re-ignition or extinguishing, gas category, suction, primary air and feed pressure are tested.
The shutdown time, button order, re-ignition and leakage resistance of the fire control system shall be verified in such a way as to prevent dangerous accumulation in an enclosed space.
The combustion quality is measured under normal and permitted abnormal conditions; the internal environmental effects of reverse traction or insufficient discharge are considered in the rod-connected models.
Button, handle, cover, adjacent furniture and accessible surface temperatures are measured according to the use scenario; the risk is reduced by design that cannot be mitigated with instructions.
Pot carriers, shelves, lids, overturning and ancaster ventilation gaps are examined, and recorders and markings are checked to prevent faulty connection.
If there is an electrical auxiliary circuit, the protection arrangement, the heat-exposed cables, the effect of the grounding and control card on the gas safety function shall be considered with appropriate evidence.
A single product name doesn't give the same answer for all models.
| The subject | The situation | Product-based evaluation |
|---|---|---|
| GAR 2016/426 | YES, YES | The home type gas cooking appliance is within the basic scope due to the purpose of cooking and normal conditions of use; the category of appliance is also determined. |
| Authorized organization | YES, YES | GAR consistency modules include third-party evaluation. The reporting scope of the organization is verified for the device and the selected module. |
| The following table shows the following: | IT 'S A MESS . | Electrical sections connected to the grid and voltage limits are examined; LVD is added to the regulatory matrix according to the device configuration. |
| The following is the list of the countries of the European Union: | IT 'S A MESS . | Electronic ignition, fan driver or digital controls are assessed for or affected by electromagnetic disruption. |
| The Commission shall adopt implementing acts in accordance with Article 21 of Regulation (EU) No 1095/2014. | IT 'S A MESS . | In the case of a home type gas stove or oven, the energy efficiency and product information requirements are verified according to the function of the model. |
| Energy label (EU) 65/2014 | IT 'S A MESS . | The label and product information obligations apply to the gas oven of the household type covered; the gas oven is not covered by the label of this provision. |
| The following points shall be added: | NO , NOT AT ALL . | The typical low-pressure gas pathway is not an automatic result; only if the defined pressure section exceeds PS 0.5 bar is reclassified. |
| The following information is provided: | NO , NOT AT ALL . | The use of gas as fuel does not automatically make it an ATEX product; it is a separate design for use in explosive environments. |
ISO 9001 — The gas may support the monitoring of safety parts, conversion kits and end-of-production checks; it does not replace the CE/GAR conformity or approved establishment assessment of the product.
The hob and oven variants are limited to gas category, burner power, assembly mode, electrical assistants and target countries.
When setting up the GAR main coverage, the headings LVD, EMC, PED and ATEX are justified only in cases where the actual product characteristic is triggered.
The highest total power, the worst body temperature, fan option and gas conversion are all linked to samples representing the experimental family.
The leakage, ignition, combustion, temperature, control and electrical evidence shall be presented to the approved installation according to the selected GAR module.
Breast, tap, thermopulse, valve, insulation, card and label changes are not produced without affecting the approved type.
The proposal is prepared after the model family, target gases, test sample, available evidence, and GAR production module have been seen.
Compare the top coverage or other similar risk architecture.
Once the conformity assessment and approved establishment stages are completed, the CE marking is applied by the manufacturer; the EU Declaration of conformity is also the responsibility of the manufacturer by the manufacturer.
Joint design and representative experiments may be possible if sufficient; gas categories, injectors, feed pressures, settings and marking are separated into technical files for each variant.
No, the experimental results are important evidence, but the type evaluation, the manufacturing conformity, the technical file, the report, the instructions and the marking are all completed together.
No definite LVD result is given unless the voltage limits, the function of the fan in the integrated product and the overall relationship of the GAR to the other legislation are examined together.
This decision is determined by design and instruction, and must be clear of the layout, kit content, leakage control and new category marking that prevents unauthorized setup.
The presence of fuel gas in normal household use does not give rise to ATEX product coverage.
Share the model of the machine or device, the location of use and the basic technical data. The Kayra Patent explains the path to be followed for scope analysis, technical preparation, test plan and, where necessary, approved organization coordination.
