Product sector and actual legal role
Start with intended use and claims. A food facility, cosmetic processor and device manufacturer do not share one universal FDA certificate. Identify the real facility and activity, relevant exemption and the party responsible for submission; a company name alone is insufficient.
For cosmetics, distinguish the manufacturing/processing facility from the responsible person named on the label. Facility registration and product listing have different owners and update duties. A cosmetic claim that changes the regulatory product boundary cannot be resolved merely by sending the same listing.
Device example: registration is not the market pathway
For a device, record intended use, product code/classification basis, actual model and the applicable 510(k),De Novo,PMA or exemption boundary. Establishment registration and listing are separate from the required market pathway. FDA does not issue device establishment registration certificates.
Example: a supplier provides an establishment number and ISO 13485 certificate for a differently labelled model. These are not sufficient proof that your device has the necessary marketing basis. Match the real model/use, responsible manufacturer and applicable authorization evidence; record the missing link instead of declaring approval.
Food and cosmetic records after submission
A required food facility keeps its actual address and FDA-accepted UFI consistent. Registration does not complete every food-safety, labelling or import duty. For 2026 renewal, track the 1 October–31 December window and actual submission status; an old number alone does not prove renewal.
Cosmetic facility renewal follows two years from its initial registration, while product information updates are annual. FDA states that registration/listing is not approval and provides no compliance verification certificate. Keep the real facility/product data and sector-specific change record; do not advertise a private certificate as FDA approval.
Responsibility
Kayra coordinates scope, evidence and preparation. It does not claim official certification or regulatory authority and does not assume importer, US agent or local applicant status without a separately established role. Official decisions and responsible-party duties remain separate; successful market entry and a fixed date are not guaranteed.
