For Plastics processing machines, the applicable CE scope is determined from intended use, energy sources, safety architecture and target market. The risk assessment, technical file, testing and conformity route must be verified against the actual model.

The main machine on the plastic production line often has a dryer, a raw material installer, a mold temperature control device, a dosing unit, a crusher, a conveyor, a robot, and a product collection system around it. The fact that these equipment are separate pens in the proposal or order documents does not indicate that they are independent of each other in terms of safety. The joint control must be responsible for integration for the common emergency stop, material transition clearance, or parts sharing automatic circuits. The organization that brings together the modules of more than one manufacturer is intended to close the intervals of the last system's access and restart scenarios.
In an injection machine, the mold closure area, breast area, propulsion movement, and plasticisation unit require different protection logic. When a large mold door is opened, not only the movement of the main mold bonding plate but also the robot and the machine circuits can be expected to go into a safe state. The feed mouth, melting pressure, filter switch, mold head, traction and cutting unit are important until the rotating screws in the extrusion line. The material inside the line can carry pressure and temperature even after cutting off energy.
The electrical and functional safety file is not just a brand list of panel components. The heating circuits are defined as having overheating protection, the safe position of motor drivers, the error behavior of door locks, and the effect of hydraulic or pneumatic energy on dangerous movement. EN 60204-1 is one of the primary sources that can be used according to the actual equipment of the machine; it is not assumed that the same coverage is automatically applicable to each small auxiliary device. Long heating cables in EMC terms, servo drivers, high-resistance key setting, and the installation of high-resistance connectivity networks are studied together.
The EU/EEA period in plastic machinery is determined by the first market offer or first service. The first event of the plastic machinery family is implemented in accordance with 2006/42/EC, including 19 hob 2027; if this plastic machine is the first event from 20 hob 2027, it is valid (EU) 2023/1230.
Name similarity alone is not sufficient; the energy source, intended use, and safety architecture are read together.

Injection, extrusion, PET inflation and thermoplate machines are separated by the options of propulsion, temperature, pressure, mold and auxiliary system.
